Close the Deal On-Site: From Handwritten Measurements to a PDF Deposit Invoice
The result: customers commit before the salesperson leaves the house. Fewer drop-outs between the site visit and the deposit.
The problem
For a home furnishing business, the sale happens in the customer's living room. The salesperson measures the windows, sketches it out, quotes a price: all by hand. Then they go back to the office, and the deposit invoice is typed up at the end of the day, or the next morning.
That gap is where customers disappear. They get a second quote. They talk to family. They cool off. By the time the invoice arrives, the moment has passed.
What we built
- Snap the handwritten sheet: the salesperson photographs the measurement and quotation sheet on their phone
- PDF deposit invoice generated on the spot: the numbers are extracted, the invoice is created, and it is sent to the customer while the salesperson is still there
- Deposit collected immediately: the customer pays via PayNow from the invoice
The outcome
- Fewer customer drop-outs: the decision is made in the room, not the next day
- No end-of-day admin: invoices are done as the visits happen
- Cleaner records: the handwritten sheet and the invoice are stored together against the customer
Why it works
Speed at the moment of intent. The customer is most ready to commit right after seeing the measurement and price; removing a one-day delay removes the biggest reason to go cold.
